Project: 16-tank generator program, Prime Data Centers, Vernon

Ongoing. Coordinated through Mansfield Energy, this is a multi-day sampling and polishing program across sixteen above-ground diesel tanks feeding the Cummins generator hall at Prime's Vernon facility. Data center backup power has no tolerance for a stalled generator, so every tank is sampled, polished, and documented on a schedule rather than waiting for a problem.

Project: Fire pump fuel tank, Target, Baldwin Park

Completed July 2026, through Nielsen's Fire Protection. Routine fuel testing had flagged the diesel tank on the store's fire pump. Independent lab analysis confirmed the fuel had degraded from biodiesel breakdown rather than water — thick, caramel-consistency sludge and varnish throughout. We circulated a heavy-concentration additive to break it down, pumped the tank down, wet-vacuumed it dry, cleared the low-point drains, and verified the result with post-service samples. 84 gallons of contaminated fuel and sludge came out. The fire pump was returned to service.

Project: Generator belly tank at a Quinn CAT location

Completed July 2026 for Monarch Power Supply. A 200-gallon generator belly tank with a customer-reported fuel quality issue. We scoped it by phone, proposed the work, completed the polishing and cleaning on site, and were onboarded as an approved vendor for their locations.

What we see in LA County fuel systems

Biodiesel-blended fuel that sits too long is now the most common failure we find. It breaks back down into a varnish that water-removal alone will not fix. Fire pump tanks and generator day tanks are the usual victims because they hold the same fuel for years. Annual sampling with a lab report catches it while it is still a polishing job instead of a tank replacement.
