Clear Fuel Solutions services boat fuel tanks and marina fuel systems across San Diego County. We mobilize from Carson, work from the dock with cart-mounted equipment, and are an onboarded vendor at Island Palms Marina on Shelter Island. Licensed California contractor, CSLB License 1143416.

Recent work in San Diego

Diesel polishing on a vessel in a San Diego marina, working from the deck with our closed-loop cart. The filter bag pulled after the job — pictured — is what came out of a tank the owner thought was fine. Fuel is pulled from the bottom of the tank where water and sludge settle, run through staged filtration, and returned clean. The engine never sees the contamination.

What we handle

  • Diesel: water, sludge, and microbial growth ("diesel bug") in sailboats, trawlers, sportfishers, and motor yachts

  • Gasoline: ethanol phase separation and water in outboard and sterndrive boats

  • Fuel removal and disposal for boats being sold, re-powered, or converted

  • Pre-purchase and pre-season fuel sampling with lab analysis

Moored boats and fuel docks

If your boat is on a mooring ball, get it onto a dock for a few hours and we can handle the rest. Our equipment rolls on dollies, so we work from the dock itself and do not need to park beside the boat. Marina fuel docks and guest docks work fine with the harbor's permission.

San Diego service area

Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Kona Kai, Island Palms, Point Loma, Mission Bay, Coronado, Chula Vista, National City, and Oceanside Harbor. Dana Point is on the way down.
